Dr. David Samadi Talks With Breast Health Specialist Dr. Cynara Coomer

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. David Samadi will interview breast health expert Dr. Cynara Coomer on his new livestream program ‘Sunday Housecall’. Dr. Coomer is Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center’s director and chief of breast surgery. The interview will give Dr. Coomer an opportunity to share her vast knowledge about breast health as well as health tips and insights with Dr. Samadi’s global audience. The program will air Sunday October 15 live on DrSamadiTV.com at 12:30 EDT.

Dr. David Samadi explained that as a major catalyst behind the establishment of Staten Island’s first comprehensive breast center, Dr. Cynara Coomer, an expert on breast health, is the perfect person to speak to during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A former Mount Sinai Medical Center breast surgeon, Dr. Coomer successfully treated breast diseases that were both benign and malignant in her clinical practice. Dr. Coomer said she’s excited to work with Dr. Samadi again to discuss breast cancer awareness and other hot topics in medicine and help with his mission to educate Americans about breast and prostate health and other important medical conditions.

Dr. David Samadi works at New York City’s Lenox Hill Hospital as chief of robotic surgery and chairman of urology. He is board certified in urologic oncology, a robotic prostate surgery expert and is trained in both laparoscopic and open traditional surgery. Dr. Samadi’s distinguished career has been focused on teaching people the importance of early detection and diagnosis on the successful treatment of prostate cancer. He’s considered among the top surgeons in his field.

Born in Iran, Dr. David Samadi was educated in Belgium, London and New York. He has an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Stony Brook University and earned his MD at S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook School of Medicine. Dr. Samadi attended Montefiore Medical Center for his urology postgraduate training. He then did postgraduate training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in proctology. Next, he went to the Memorial Sloan Kittering Cancer Center and completed an oncology fellowship focused on proctology. In 2002, Dr. David Samadi studied under Professor Claude Abbou at France’s Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil where he completed a fellowship in robotic radical prostatectomy.

Dr. David Samadi has made raising global awareness and bringing attention to prostate cancer his life mission. For men worldwide, the dangerous disease is the second leading cause of death.
